The Island
The island is very much less developed, and has miles of beautiful un-crowded beaches, and if you are prepared to go and explore will be stunned by the fantastic scenery along the coastline, which is truly breath taking from the mountainous sand dunes of Correlejo to the huge waves crashing down at El Cotillo
The lack of visitors ensures that those who want to get off the beaten track can easily find peace and tranquillity on the many deserted beaches.
The vision of crystal blue lagoons at the South of the island seem more in keeping with the Caribean rather than the Canaries.
.
Fuerteventura is about 90 kms from the west coast of Africa, and is the second largest of the Canary Islands. The island has a wonderful climate with nearly 3000 hours of sunshine. It also has some of the most stunning scenery to be found in all the Canaries.
